Grossman Co-op

What is Cooperative (Co-op) Education?聽

Body

Co-op is an immersive full-time paid work experience integrated into undergraduate academic studies where students alternate between classroom education and full-time employment, all while gaining practical, hands-on experience in their field of study. Working full-time in partner organizations allows students to experience real-world business situations, gain critical problem solving and communication skills, and apply classroom knowledge and tools to real-world business applications.

What distinguishes a Co-op from an Internship?

Body

Internships and Co-op are both work-integrated learning. Both can be impactful experiences in which to apply knowledge and gain insight toward postgraduate career paths.

Grossman students are encouraged to complete internships early as shorter work experiences to explore various career interest areas often during semester or summer break periods.  Co-op programs are full-time paid positions that require junior year standing and rigorous academic planning as you won鈥檛 be taking courses during your co-op employment.

When will the Grossman Co-op start?

Body

Grossman Co-op will launch the week of March 17 with student information 鈥What鈥檚 a Grossman Co-op?鈥&苍产蝉辫;

When students step on campus Fall 2025, they can visit the Grossman Co-op in 218 Kalkin to learn more.  Employers will be actively recruiting during the Fall, for the initial Grossman Co-op student placements to start January 2026 to July 2026.  We anticipate adding additional Co-op work periods.
