  • Students whose gender identity and/or gender expression does not conform to the gender binary
  • Students who do not identify with any gender
  • LGBTQ+ students more broadly

Gender Inclusive Housing Process

What Gender Inclusive Housing is (and is not)

Body

Gender inclusive housing at 日韩无码 refers to bedrooms which house students that are not the same gender.

It is important to note that choosing a gender-inclusive bedroom does not mean you will have a bathroom that matches your gender identity on the floor.

There are gender-inclusive rooms in every Learning Community.

Opting in to Gender Inclusive Housing

Body

When signing the housing contract, you must select the box that says you want to opt into gender-inclusive housing.

When completing the Housing and Meal Plan Contract, you will be able to see halls that feature different bathroom types available in each Learning Community that may support your need within gender-inclusive housing.

Finding Roommates

Body

After opting into gender-inclusive housing on the contract, you can search for a roommate who has also opted into gender-inclusive housing or have the housing portal suggest a gender-inclusive roommate. You can then reach out to the other student, decide if you want to be roommates, and create a roommate group to go through room selection together and pick a room at a designated date and time. We strongly encourage you to pursue identifying your own roommate within gender-inclusive housing, knowing that students who opt into gender-inclusive housing represent a broad spectrum of identities. Finding someone that you know you are totally compatible with on a personality and identity level, is always the best approach in our experience.

Selecting Without a Roommate

Body

If you choose not to find a roommate on your own, you will select a bed in a room during your room selection event. Once you select your bed, the only people who can see the other spaces in the room are those who have also opted into gender-inclusive housing. If you see a bed in a room that another person has selected, the same applies, and they will have opted into gender-inclusive housing as well.
