Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) knows returning to school can be fun, chaotic and stressful. We want to minimize problems as much as possible so, if you are experiencing difficulties with Wi-Fi or your internet connection, try these five things.

  1. Did your password change? You may have to "forget" your ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë connection and re-connect for it to ask you for your username and password again. Or, if you have moved around in a building, briefly turning off your Wi-Fi and turning it back on again can ensure you are connected to the nearest Wi-Fi access point for better signal strength.
  2. Are you in your residence hall room? Sometimes plugging in directly to the network jack can give you a better experience. You will need an ethernet cord and an ethernet adapter or port on your computer. Cords and adapters are available at the bookstore. Plug one end into the green jack in your room and the other into your computer. The first time you plug in, go to to register your computer.
  3. Are you in a location with a LOT of other people? Even Wi-Fi can get full! Think of it like a water park. While there is room for everyone to get into the pool, if everyone did, there would be no room to swim. Sometimes moving to a less crowded space can give you a better experience.
  4. You can always look at our knowledgebase articles to find help! Connect to ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Wireless – ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Knowledge Base is pretty popular as is Network and Connectivity – ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Knowledge Base.
  5. And if you still can't get a good resolution, you can reach out to our helpful tech team staff using Contact Us – ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë Knowledge Base.

We hope tips like these will relieve any problems you may have with Wi-Fi and internet connections!
