ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë, one of the nation’s premier medium-sized public research universities, seeks an accomplished scholar to serve as the next Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME). Reporting to the Dean of the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, the Chair must be an insightful and decisive manager of people and resources, an effective communicator with strong relationship building skills who can foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The Chair will strategically leverage the academic diversity of the department to recruit and develop faculty, build innovative programs that attract students, and forge partnerships with a wide variety of organizations and individuals across the state. The successful Chair will be an innovative leader with an outstanding teaching and research record and demonstrated administrative experience. Qualified applicants may be eligible for an endowed professorship.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë (ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë) seeks applicants for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Mechanical Engineering with an expected start date of August 18, 2025, though a start date of January 6, 2025 is preferred. Highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in undergraduate engineering education, along with relevant experience in Solid Mechanics and Computational Solid Mechanics, are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and expertise in Abaqus and ANSYS FEA software is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Lecturer appointment.

The successful candidate will teach courses spanning all levels of the Mechanical Engineering undergraduate and graduate curriculum. Lecturers are encouraged to develop new upper-level technical elective(s) in their area of interest. The College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences and ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë prioritize pedagogical development at both the college and university levels. Courses are offered by external experts and ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë’s Center for Teaching and Learning. An established IT support system supplies a robust response to queries and provides on-line references & training. The candidate will advise and mentor undergraduate students and Capstone Design teams, as well as advise graduate students should the successful candidate participate in research. 

The College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) at ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë (ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë) invites applications for a highly motivated full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track position) in Intelligent Manufacturing for Fall 2025. Candidates must have a graduate degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field, and industrial manufacturing experience, ideally combined with university-level teaching experience. The ideal candidate will also have curriculum development experience and the passion to finalize and lead the new Undergraduate Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering Principles. Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Lecturer appointment.

The Department of Computer Science at ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë (ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2025. Areas of interest include but are not limited to cybersecurity, data privacy, trustworthy AI, and adversarial machine learning. Ideal applicants would show strong potential for transdisciplinary collaboration across campus in fields such as complex systems, cybersecurity, data privacy, engineering, environmental science, social sciences, and health sciences.

Description: Support the CEMS research and teaching labs with a focus on the Physics, Semiconductor, and Electrical Engineering labs. Maintain all equipment in these labs along with the other CEMS technical staff. Support student projects by consulting on technical and engineering needs. Support faculty research projects through the maintenance and fabrication of experimental apparatus. Assist with technical and instructional services for specialized engineering areas under the general supervision of the CEMS Facilities Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field. Experience with lab and workplace safety, especially electrical. Experience designing and working with scientific and technical equipment.

Desirable Qualifications: Labview, DAQ, semiconductor fields, electrical equipment manufacturing. Experience with programming.
