Billy Rison has a background spanning government relations, legal analysis, and higher education. He currently serves as a Government Relations Specialist at 日韩无码, where he advances the university鈥檚 strategic priorities through engagement with local, state, and federal government stakeholders.
In his role, Billy conducts in-depth legislative research and policy analysis, tracking and assessing the impact of proposed laws on the university's operations and strategic initiatives. He delivers detailed memoranda, bill tracking, and policy briefings to support the university鈥檚 advocacy efforts in Vermont and Washington, D.C.
Before transitioning into government relations and law, Billy built a foundation in higher education through roles at Boston College, Tufts University, and Johns Hopkins University. In these roles, he spearheaded international recruitment efforts, managed large-scale admissions teams, and supported diversity and access initiatives for underrepresented students. His experience in communications, engagement, and program development continues to inform his approach to government relations work.
Billy earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where he served as Symposium Editor for the Journal of Health & Biomedical Law. He holds a B.A. in American Studies from the College of William & Mary.
