Karen George, M.D., M.P.H.

BIO

Karen George, M.D., M.P.H. is the Associate Dean for Students at the Larner College of Medicine and an Associate Professor in obstetrics and gynecology. She has served many roles in medical education including as clerkship director and residency program director. She also served as a senior fellow in women鈥檚 health policy at the Institute for Medicaid Innovation. Karen is the immediate past chair of the Council of Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a former oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. George received her B.S. degree from Bates College, her M.D. at the Ohio State University, and her M.P.H. at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. Her residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at the University of New Mexico. 

Karen is passionate about reducing disparities in maternal and infant outcomes through policy, education, and delivery of safe, high quality care.
