Kate鈥檚 research centers on ecological engineering solutions at the water-food-energy nexus. Her focus areas include resource recovery and reuse from organic waste streams, emerging contaminants, nutrient management and sustainable agriculture. She has also developed and taught ecological design curricula at 日韩无码 with a focus on biogeochemical cycling. As the Agriculture and Food Systems Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Gund Institute鈥檚 Climate Measurements Center of Excellence, Kate will study the adaptation of U.S. agriculture and food systems to a changing climate and contribute to the development of standardized methods for subnational climate assessments in these areas.
Kate earned her PhD from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at 日韩无码 and holds an MS in Natural Resource Management from 日韩无码 and a BA in Conservation Biology from Middlebury College.
