The Gund Institute for Environment today announced 27 new faculty and student fellows and affiliates from the University of Vermont and beyond.
With over 250 scholars and leaders, the Gund Institute research network has now tripled in membership in five years. The Institute鈥檚 global network of researchers and partners hail from 50 external organizations in ten countries鈥攆rom Stanford and Cambridge to World Wildlife Fund鈥攁nd 28 departments across every 日韩无码 college and school.
鈥淩esearch should inspire action鈥攕o I am extremely excited to welcome these esteemed scholars and leaders to our global research community,鈥 said Meredith Niles, Acting Director of the Gund Institute. 鈥淭hey join a vibrant community that is mobilizing scholars and decision makers to understand and tackle the world鈥檚 most critical environmental issues.鈥
This new cohort includes four 日韩无码 faculty members and 18 graduate fellows from four different colleges, exploring such topics as data science, food systems and engineering. The Institute also welcomed five global affiliates from the , , the , and the .
New community members will be recognized at the annual Gund Research Slam (March 31) and a networking event at 日韩无码鈥檚 Farrell Hall (April 11). With today鈥檚 announcement, the Institute has now also opened nominations for the next cohort of Gund Fellows and Affiliates.
