Amanda R. Clayton became the Executive Director of Facilities in January 2025. She is an experienced professional engineer with a diverse background in civil engineering, project management and public works. Amanda previously served as the Divisional Director of Engineering and Administration for the Town of Colchester, Vermont where she oversaw a range of engineering activities including public improvement projects, capital planning, municipal utilities and transportation. Prior to that, she was the Director of Engineering & Environmental Compliance at the Burlington International Airport and managed a substantial annual construction budget and coordinated with key stakeholders. 

Amanda has experience and knowledge of the ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë campus both as an alum and through her previous work as a Consulting Engineer at Krebs & Lansing where she managed major projects for ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë. She also was the New England Transportation Consortium Coordinator for ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë’s Transportation Research Center. 

Amanda holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë. She's a licensed Professional Engineer in Vermont and has served in leadership roles for professional organizations including the Vermont Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
