Charge of the CCCC
The Catamount Core Curriculum Committee was created as a joint committee of the Office of the Provost and the Faculty Senate, charged with creating the structures and processes necessary for implementing the new Catamount Core Curriculum.
The CCCC is responsible for matters specifically related to the Catamount Core Curriculum, the University's undergraduate program of General Education. Duties of the CCCC are to review, recommend, and participate in the formulation of policy related to the development, administration, and assessment of the General Education framework, designations, and approval criteria, as well as their effect on the educational process at the course level. The committee shall establish continuing liaison with all appropriate administrative academic offices related to its areas of responsibility, including the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment in matters of assessment and the Registrar in matters of transfer credit, and the implementation of the curriculum in the registrar's systems.
AY 2024-2025 Meeting Schedule
The CCCC generally meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 1:00 - 2:30 PM on Microsoft Teams. The January, March & May meetings will take place on alternative Tuesdays due to academic calendar conflicts.
