Emily Hughes Corio is Associate Director at West Virginia University鈥檚 Reed School of Media and Communications. She joined the WVU journalism faculty in August 2011 after a decade working in public media. She has developed and taught courses on in-depth reporting, podcasting and sports & adventure media. She is a champion of experiential learning in journalism and knows first-hand the impact student reporting has on local communities and a student鈥檚 readiness for a career in journalism.
