Professor Holmes specializes in U.S. politics with a focus on judicial politics, constitutional law, and gender and law. Her research focuses on various issues surrounding the politics of the federal judiciary, including the selection and departure decisions of judges. She has published her work in an array of political science journals, law journals, and edited projects, and is the co-author of Judicial Process in America, published by SAGE/CQ Press. Professor Holmes has received 日韩无码鈥檚 Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award and the 日韩无码 College of Arts and Science鈥檚 Scholar-Teacher Award. Her current research project examines the treatment of the judiciary as an issue in U.S. presidential elections.
