Last weekend, the Grossman Student Advisory Commitee (GSAC) held the sixth annual Grossman Dean’s Cup Case Competition. The one-day business case competition is an opportunity for ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë undergraduate students to apply their analytical skills outside the classroom, make strong connections with ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë faculty, alumni, and business leaders in the greater Burlington area, practice their presentation skills, and have a chance to win prizes. It’s also a chance for students to prepare for larger case competitions against other schools from around the world.
Students were tasked with applying what they have learned within the classroom to solve real-world business challenges. To prepare the case, 7 teams of 3-4 students had a week to refine their recommendations and analyses before presenting their findings in real-time to the judging panel who evaluated their various, innovative case solutions, and provided feedback. The competition comprises two rounds. Round 1 features presentation at the Grossman School of Business, assessed by judges on diverse criteria. Following the judges' deliberation, round 2 finals occur later in the day.
